Terms, privacy and refunds

Last updated: 9 September 2026

Who you are buying from

These books are sold by Scrollwork Media, trading as Rosa, contactable at holopro89@gmail.com. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

Add your registered business address and company number here if you have one — Stripe and most consumer-protection rules expect a real, reachable trading identity.

What you are buying

A digital book, delivered as a PDF file. Nothing is shipped. There is no physical product, no subscription, and no recurring charge. One payment, one time.

Delivery is immediate: the download appears on the confirmation page after payment, and the same links are emailed to the address you give at checkout. Your download links stay valid for 30 days and allow five downloads per book. If they expire or run out, write to us and we will send fresh ones — for free, for as long as we are trading.

Refunds

Seven days, no questions, and you keep the book. Write to us within seven days of purchase and we refund you in full. We do not ask you to delete the file and we do not ask you to justify yourself.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually appear within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank.

If you are in the UK or the EU: digital content is normally exempt from the statutory 14-day cancellation right once download has begun, and by completing checkout you agree to immediate delivery. Our own seven-day guarantee above is given voluntarily and is more generous than that exemption requires. It does not affect your other statutory rights.

What you may and may not do with the book

The book is for you and your household. You may read it on any device you own and print a copy for your own use.

You may not resell it, republish it, upload it to a file-sharing site, or pass the download link around. It is a small business and that is how it gets paid for.

The original text is copyright Scrollwork Media. The historical passages in the appendices are reproduced from books published between 1832 and 1918 that are in the public domain; each is attributed to its source.

What the book is not

The cleaning book describes ordinary household methods. It is not professional restoration, pest-control, building or medical advice. Test any method on a hidden area first, keep the room ventilated, wear gloves, and read the safety chapter before mixing anything.

The historical appendices are included for interest. They are not tested instructions, and where old advice and modern advice disagree, follow the modern one.

Nothing in any of these books is medical advice. If you are unwell, see a doctor.

Privacy

What we collect

  • Your email address, so we can send your download links.
  • Your order — which books, the amount, the date, and the payment reference.
  • Anything you write to us through the contact form, and the review you leave if you choose to leave one.

Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.

What we do with it

We use your email to deliver your book, to re-send your links if you ask, and to answer you if you write. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.

Who else sees it

  • Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe's own privacy policy.
  • Our email provider — to deliver the message carrying your links.
  • Our hosting provider — where the site and the order record live.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires (commonly six years), because a sale is an accounting record. Contact messages are kept while they are useful and then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — subject to the accounting records we are required to keep. Write to the address at the top of this page and we will answer within a month.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores a countdown timer and whether you have dismissed a pop-up, locally on your own device; that never reaches us. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page, for fraud prevention.

If something goes wrong

Write to us first — most problems are a download link, and we fix those in minutes. If we cannot put it right, you have your refund, and you keep the book.
